Description

I made this pipette tip mover to move tips from one rack to another.

In the file there are two different sizes 8 and 12. I added a plate that is just a row of the pegs so you can test them out on your tips before you fully commit to the whole print job.

You will need one spring for this print. I added a photo of the sizes I used. (two different sizes seem to work, but the 25mm length one I think works better) and will have a link to the product I bought off amazon.

Amazon springs:

Dianrui 300PCS Compression Springs Assortment Kit 23 Different Sizes Small Spring 304 Stainless Steel Mechanical Mini Springs for DIY Repair Project: Amazon.com: Industrial & Scientific

You will also need a small amount of super glue.

To assemble:

1.Add a dab of glue into the hole of the main shaft (one with the screw head)

2. insert the sprint shaft into the hole you just put glue in. (give it a minute to let the glue set)

3. Screw the main shaft into the hole of the tip collar piece.

4. Slide the assembly through the main body and align the pegs with the holes on the tip collar.

5. Insert the cap support into the hole at the top of the main body.

6. Add a dab of glue into the hole of the cap.

7. Compress the spring slightly with your thumbnail and put the cap onto the spring shaft.

8. Enjoy :)

If you are having issues with assembly let me know and I will make a video on how to assemble.

I hope this helps with your endeavors, I threw this together and it worked just fine in my lab. Things are not as optimized as they could have been, I may be adding a version 2.0 in the future once I get more feedback from people in my lab or from on here.
