Turn inexpensive shoe racks into a high-density filament storage system with these simple, printable adapters!
This design allows you to stagger the support rods and increase vertical clearance, making it possible to store full-size spools without tilting or wasted space. The modular risers lift the frame just enough to add a fully usable bottom row, maximizing capacity within a compact footprint.
Using three standard shoe racks and these printed parts, this setup holds 50+ spools while remaining stable, accessible, and easy to expand.
Features:
- Converts low-cost shoe racks into filament storage
- Staggered rod layout for improved spacing and access
- Riser system enables full bottom-row clearance
- TPU-compatible feet for stability and floor protection
- Modular design using single and dual connectors
- No permanent modifications required
This is a simple, scalable solution for anyone running out of filament storage space.
Important: View the installation image to see how the rods are staggered on each row. Not all rods will be used.
