Description
Baby Gate Rescue: Heavy-Duty TPU Pads & Wall Rings
The Problem: Structural Fatigue
Pressure-mounted baby gates take a beating, especially with active toddlers. Over time, the rubber pads can tear or lose their grip, causing the gate to slide or fail. Instead of contributing to the landfill by replacing the entire gate, this kit allows you to perform a professional-grade repair.
The Solution: A Two-Part System
- Replacement TPU Pad: Designed to replace the factory rubber ends. It provides superior grip and durability.
- Mountable Wall Ring: A rigid PETG ring that keeps the pressure bolt centered and prevents "gate creep," even under heavy force.
Parametric Versatility (SCAD Included)
Every gate is a little different. While these parts are designed for a standard pressure gate, I have included the SCAD file. You can customize the diameter and depth to ensure a perfect fit for your specific hardware.
Critical Printing & Safety Instructions
- Safety First: Baby gates are vital safety equipment. If you are unsure of your ability to perform a secure repair, please replace the gate entirely.
- Material Selection: * Pads: Use TPU 95A (like Sunlu or Bambu TPU).
- Wall Rings: Use PETG, ASA, or ABS.
- Slicer Settings: This part is under constant compression. Use 6+ walls and a high infill (40%+) to ensure the internal structure does not collapse under the force of the pressure bolt.
AI Disclaimer
I use AI to help code SCAD files. AI speeds up my workflow while improving coding accuracy. SCAD-generated models are deterministic by nature and are "hallucination" -free. These models are tested before they are published.
