I designed this hot air balloon at a friend's request, and the project was so popular that I decided to share it on MakerWorld
The hot air balloon is a single optimized piece, requiring no print supports. The basket consists of 2 interlocking units that align without the use of glue. The connections are precise; just hold the pylon with your hand and gently tap for a firm grip without using glue
The basket screws onto the hot air balloon using a thread that provides a very firm grip. I recommend a light application of spray grease, and the thread will run as smooth as oil. I printed the hot air balloon on an H2C, and the precision of this printer ensures that the threads are perfect, requiring no tolerances. I cannot confirm the same for other Bambu Lab printers
The top piece is printed separately and simply slots into place
Maximum color customization is possible thanks to its simple shapes and clear face division, making it easy to color as you like
