I wanted some light bars to use to make my model photography better, so I made my own! These are designed to hold custom light bars based on adding LED strip to a mounted profile. These are really solid and don't tip over at all. They've been designed to allow the soldered LED wires to come out at the bottom with plenty of space.

What you'll need:

LED strip - any will do as long as it fits in the channel.

LED mounting profile - this is designed specifically with this (https://www.screwfix.com/p/essentials-aluminium-led-mounting-profile-1m/9557k) in mind. So if you buy other profiles you'll need to edit the raw file (included) to change the size.

An LED driver (https://www.screwfix.com/p/robus-vegas-12v-constant-voltage-led-driver-15w/966ch)

Wire & soldering materials

A plug

  1. Cut the mounting profile in half with a saw and sanded it a bit.
  2. Stick the LED strip on the inside of the mounting profile.
  3. Solder the output connectors of the driver to the +/- pads on the LED strip.
  4. Wire the input connectors of the driver to the plug.
  5. Print the holders, place them in and enjoy.
