Stop buying replacements and start printing them! This design is optimized for a consistent bounce and a smooth finish, making it a perfect addition to your game room.
Field Tested: PLA is King š
Iāve tested various materials, and PLA is the clear winner. It provides the rigidity needed for a true "ping" sound and a snappy, predictable bounce.
ā ļø A Note on TPU: Don't bother with TPU for this one! While it's durable, it makes the ball mushy and kills the bounce entirely. Stick to PLA for that authentic table tennis feel.
Print Settings
- Material: PLA (Works great and holds its shape!)
- Layer Height: 0.12mm (Lower is better for a smooth, aerodynamic surface).
- Wall Loops: 2 (Keep it light so it flies fast).
- Infill: 10% - 15%.
- Supports: Minimal tree supports are recommended for the very bottom.
