Parametric Electrical Panel Knockout Plugs (Standard US Sizes)

Need to safely cap an unused hole in a junction box or breaker panel? This parametric model generates snap-fit knockout plugs tailored to standard US Trade Sizes. I whipped this up after accidentally knocking out the wrong size for my Sense energy monitor after getting a panel upgrade!

 

Features:

  • Support-Free: Prints flat on the bed. The retaining lip uses a printer-safe 45-degree overhang.
  • MakerWorld Customizer Ready: Easily adjust the US Trade Size (1/2" up to 2"), panel thickness, and fit tolerances.
  • Adjustable Flex: Use the "Relief Cuts" parameter to add flexible fingers for rigid materials (PLA/PETG)
    • Set it to 0 if printing in flexible TPU.
    • Set it to 6-8 for PLA/PETG
  • Accurate Scaling: Automatically handles the conversion between US "Trade Sizes" and actual physical hole diameters.
