Description

Intro: Hello Makers!  Here's a new shuriken boomerang toy based on the Fuma Shuriken from Naruto.  It is print in place, prints in 1 hour, and works right off the plate (Images 1, 5, and 6 show some of its flights).  Make sure to watch a boomerang-throwing tutorial before using this toy!  The second, third, and fourth photos show the process of throwing (tilt it to the side slightly, bring your arm back while curling your wrist back, then throw forward (trying to put as much spin as possible), releasing at the front).  It takes a bit of practice, but when you get it, it feels like magic.  Also, make sure you print the right-hand model if you're right-handed and vice versa.  Lastly, if you can, print in a strong material like PLA tough or PETG for impact resistance.

Quick Troubleshooting:  Issue 1# If your boomerang is going up, then coming straight down, you are likely throwing with too much of an angle. Refer to a tutorial or the second photo above for the correct angle.  Issue 2# If your boomerang is stopping in front of you, try throwing with more force.  This should give you the extra returning distance you need.  Issue 3# If your boomerang starts returning, then flips and goes forward, try a lower launch angle and/or less power.  Around the shoulder/extended arm length is good.  Again, refer to a boomerang throwing tutorial for proper form.

Outro: Have fun and leave a rating/boost if you liked it!
