Design
I needed a suitable holder for my Shelly modules in the control cabinet. After looking at many existing models, I decided to design my own version. Reasons for this included several comments describing that holders break off or the module is difficult to remove.
These points were directly incorporated into my design, and this model was created from it. The rail fastener is designed as a snap/slide lock. The module can be easily removed by pushing it out.
Assembly
The sliding clamp is inserted into the holder and then locks into two positions. I printed a total of 10 modules and noticed that some might have a bit of resistance when sliding and locking at first. Simply move the clamp back and forth 5-6 times, then it will run more smoothly and lock reliably.
Supports:
No supports are necessary.
Printing
The sliding clamp is a part that requires some attention during printing. It took me several test prints until I found suitable settings. I recommend PETG as a material because it is slightly more flexible than PLA.
I used PETG HF and PLA Basic from Bambu Lab – both work very well.
PLA or PETG from other manufacturers should also work without problems.
