Filament Weighing Station: Never again filament lottery
Print Profile(1)

Description
⚖️ Precision Weighing Station: No more "Filament Lottery"!
Are you also tired of worrying if your filament will last through 95% of a print? Optical estimations or mechanical sensors are often inaccurate. With this weighing station, you can stop guessing!
This model is a stable, universal holder that can be placed directly onto a standard kitchen or precision scale. It securely holds your filament spool to prevent it from rolling away, and allows for gram-accurate measurement of the content.
Why you need this tool:
- Absolute Precision: Determine the remaining amount to the exact gram (instead of just "by approximation").
- Sustainability: Use even the smallest remnants for specific projects instead of throwing them away.
- Security: Only start large prints when you know there's enough material.
- Simplicity: No respooling needed – simply place it on the scale, subtract the tare weight, and you're done.
🛠 How it works:
- Print the holder and place it on your scale.
- Press the tare button to zero the weight of the holder.
- Place your filament spool on the station.
- Subtract the tare weight (empty weight) of the spool from the result.
- Formula: Total weight - Spool weight = Remaining filament.
📢 THE COMMUNITY DATABASE (Important!)
Since manufacturers unfortunately use very different spool weights, we as a Maker community are called upon. Let's build a database together!
Please post in the comments:
- Brand of the filament (e.g., Bambu Lab, Prusa, Sunlu, eSUN).
- Material of the spool (plastic, cardboard, metal).
- Content of the full roll (e.g., 1 kg)
- Weight of the empty spool in grams.
Example: "Bambu Lab Reusable Spool (Plastic): 250g"
Good luck with printing and saving your filament remnants! 🚀
