Description
Product Introduction
This is a 3D printed isolation device designed specifically for ornamental fish (such as guppies, tropical fish, etc). It features a floating + lidded structure, allowing it to float stably in the aquarium water (no additional fixing required). The box has hollow ventilation holes around its sides and top, providing a separate breeding/isolation space for the mother fish, while allowing fry to freely pass to the outer layer (to prevent being eaten). The top lid prevents dust and prevents fish and shrimp from jumping out, while ensuring natural water circulation. Its overall design is simple, suitable for various small ornamental fish tanks, and serves as a practical aid for fish breeding and isolating sick fish
Design Highlights
- Floating Design: With a lightweight structure + bottom counterweight (or buoyancy design), it can float stably in water without the need for glue/brackets, making installation convenient
- Lidded, Dust-proof, and Jump-proof: The matching top lid effectively prevents dust and debris from falling in, while also preventing fish and shrimp from jumping out of the isolation box
- Multi-hole Ventilation Structure: The sides and top of the box feature dense hollowing, ensuring water circulation and promoting fish and shrimp respiration and water exchange
- 3D Printed Print in Place: The structure is compact, with rounded, edgeless edges to avoid scratching fish and shrimp; the hollow/mesh design balances ventilation and safety
Technical Parameters
- Model format: STL (3D printing standard format)
- Printing technology: FDM (or SLA resin printing, PETG/PLA material recommended)
- Applicable aquariums: Small ornamental fish tanks (water level ≥15cm, tank size unlimited, must accommodate the floating box)
- Dimensions (reference): Approximately L×W×H = 6cm×6cm×4cm (internal isolation space approximately 4cm×4cm)
- Printing accuracy: 0.1-0.2mm layer thickness recommended to ensure clear holes/structures
- Assembly method: Print in Place, the lid can be placed directly on top of the box
Usage Scenarios
- Isolation of mother fish and fry during the breeding period of guppies (or other small livebearing fish)
- "Temporary quarantine" for new fish before introduction to the main tank (to observe health status)
- Isolation and treatment of sick fish (to prevent cross-infection while maintaining water exchange)
- Empty tank display/backup (can be placed in the fish tank normally without affecting the aquascape)
