Description
Orbital Satellite Wind Spinner
✧ Description

A wind spinner inspired by the form of an orbital satellite with solar panels. Designed to move under the influence of wind.
✧ Motion
The rotation is achieved by a slight tilt of the panels relative to the axis. The movement depends directly on wind strength and direction — in light wind conditions, the model may not rotate, which is a natural characteristic of this type of design. During operation, both the panels and the antenna rotate, creating a cohesive and dynamic motion.
✧ Construction

In addition to the printed parts, you will need:
an M5 screw (50 mm length)
an M5 nylon lock nut (to prevent loosening)
a washer with a 15 mm diameter
The rotation axis is an M5 screw connecting the rotor (moving part) to the body, secured with a nylon lock nut. A washer acts as a spacer between the rotating elements and reduces friction, allowing for smoother rotation. The screw should be tightened carefully—tight enough to hold the assembly together, but loose enough to maintain free rotation. The assembly is mounted to the base using a connector. The base includes mounting holes for M3 screws, allowing it to be securely fixed to a surface.
✧ Appearance and materials
For the best visual effect, it is recommended to use glossy filaments for the body and a transparent dark blue filament for the panels. This creates a shimmering effect in sunlight and enhances the technical, realistic look of the model. The panels feature patterns inspired by real solar cells, and using a translucent material makes the structure appear embedded within the surface.

✧ Assembly
A complete documentation package is included, containing the filament color list, model dimensions, parts list, and assembly instructions.
Good luck with your mission and maintaining a stable orbit.
