Precision Wear Gauge
This design is intended to be a functional and reliable tool in the workshop. It is specifically optimized for a Bambu Lab P2S.
Adjustment and Post-processing
For the tool to function correctly, it will be necessary to lightly file the rails after printing. This is not a design error; it is a technical decision.
Why doesn't the original design have more clearance? I have maximized the tolerances for a simple reason: precision. Each filament and each flow calibration can slightly vary wall expansion.
- If I had designed the rails with more clearance, on many printers the gauge would have "play" or wobble, losing all its usefulness as a measuring tool.
- I prefer the fit to be firm and for each person to give it the final finish with a fine file or sandpaper according to their own machine. It is the only way to ensure smooth sliding without unnecessary vibrations or play.
Printing recommendation: To get the best results with this level of adjustment, make sure your flow rate is well calibrated in your Bambu Studio.
