Make a statement every time you pay with this oversized, functional penny! This model is designed to house a standard tap-to-pay debit or credit card, turning a mundane transaction into a conversation starter.

Inspired by the classic Lincoln cent, this "Giant Penny" features high-relief details that capture the iconic look of the original coin while being scaled up for maximum impact.

Features:

  • Functional Design: Includes a precision-fit slot for your payment card, allowing you to "tap" the entire coin at any contactless terminal.
  • Two-Piece Assembly: The design consists of a detailed front face and a secure backplate to keep your card in place.

Print Settings & Tips:

  • Filament: Use a silk bronze or copper PLA to achieve that authentic metallic coin sheen.
  • Security: While the fit is snug, you can add a small dab of adhesive or use the integrated tabs to ensure your card stays locked in during daily use.
  • Assembly & Hardware

  • To ensure the coin stays securely together while remaining easy to open, this design utilizes a magnetic locking system.
  • Hardware Required: 8 magnets (10mm x 2mm).
  • Installation: The magnets are press-fit into the integrated circular recessed slots on the inner faces of the coin. Use glue if necessary.
  • Functionality: This allows you to snap the two halves together over your card for a secure hold, while still allowing you to swap cards out whenever needed.
  •  Tip: When installing the magnets, ensure the polarity is aligned so the two halves pull together. A small drop of superglue in the magnet pockets can help keep them permanently seated during heavy daily use at checkout counters.

Bring some "big" change to your wallet and show off your maker skills at the checkout counter!
