This is my first attempt at designing a parametrically customizable model using Fusion 360, so I would appreciate your support
This is a very practical parametrically customizable storage box. As shown in the GIF, just lightly press the button, and the lid will automatically spring open, and closing the lid automatically locks it.
The entire box requires no supports; the main body of the box is Print in Place. After printing, gently push the lid, and it will rotate smoothly. In the print profile, plate two and three contain the essential springs and buttons, which are universal for different box sizes. There are three customizable parameters: the length, width, and height of the box. The corresponding parameter names are shown in the figure. Value range: length 80mm to 300mm, width 70mm to 150mm, height 41mm to 120mm. The step size for all is 1mm.
Warm reminder: If the lid is too large or too heavy, the effect might not be good due to the limited strength of the spring. Additionally, springs cannot be printed with PLA, and PETG may also fail due to prolonged compression. PC is said to be the most suitable material, but I haven't tried it.
