A modular grid-based surface system built on a strict orthogonal pattern.
The design comes in two separate construction approaches: a single-color solid version and a two-color inlay version.
The single-color version uses a dedicated base where the full pattern is printed as one piece.
The dual-color version uses a separate base plate with removable insert pieces that snap into the grid, allowing a second color layer without multi-material printing or an AMS system.
Both versions follow the same underlying grid geometry to ensure consistency across layouts and scales. The insert pieces are designed for manual placement with a press-fit connection into the base structure.
The module is intended purely as a surface system for visual structure and variation, not as a functional maze or routing system.
