Description

A fun snap-on Creeper head accessory designed to attach to any hat with a top button. This project was inspired by my child, who wanted something unique for Hat Day at school but wasn’t interested in wearing my previous miniature cheesehead design. When I asked what he had in mind, his answer was immediate … clearly, we go through a lot of green and black in this house.

During the printing process, I encountered challenges using AMS with the Creeper face oriented downward, as the threads did not print cleanly enough for the adapter to function properly. To resolve this, I redesigned the model so the face is printed as a separate component, which can then be securely glued into place.

I found that the snaps can flex with PLA pretty easily .3mm so I made multiple steps up and down at .3mm intervals. My largest hat snap measured 16.7mm and the 16.7mm adapter works but feels a bit loose for jumping up and down or moving around. I put the 16.4mm snap on that hat and it went on with no problem and was still easily removable but held tight while wearing.

Check out my other Snap-on Hat that uses the same adapter for sizing
