Description
Madonna del Campanile (Frasso Telesino, Benevento) - Sannite Sacred Statue
This 3D model is an accurate reproduction of the Madonna del Campanile, one of the oldest and most revered sacred icons in the province of Benevento (Sannio, Campania), housed in the church of the same name in Frasso Telesino. The original effigy is a very rare 12th-century wooden sculpture, featuring the enthroned Virgin holding the blessing Child Jesus, who clutches a small bell in his left hand.
A perfect model for the faithful, collectors of sacred art, nativity scenes, or as a devotional gift for local communities.
Design Details:
The model captures the solemn details of the original Roman/Byzantine iconography: the royal crown of the Madonna, the classic drapery of the robes, and the exact posture of the Child with the bell (a symbol linked to the name of the district where it was originally found).
Printing Tips (Print Settings):
To highlight the details of the face, hands, and drapery of the robe, a defined print is recommended:
- Recommended material: PLA Gypsum or Marble. Ideal colors are Marble White, Matte White, or Ivory/Silky tones to simulate a marble or ceramic figurine effect.
- Layer Height: 0.12 mm or 0.16 mm to minimize the stepping effect on the curves of the crown and faces.
- Supports: Yes, they are necessary. The use of Tree Supports is strongly recommended. Set the threshold angle to support the Child's blessing hand, the bell, the armrests of the throne, and the figures' chins.
- Infill: 15% - 20% (Gyroid) is sufficient. Increase the walls (at least 3 or 4) to avoid transparency effects with light filaments.
