Description

Step back over 4,000 years into the Old Kingdom of Egypt. Mehen is one of the oldest known board games in history, named after the protective snake god who coiled around the sun god Ra to shield him from the demons of the underworld.

This 3D-printed set brings this ancient mystery to your tabletop. The board is a coiled serpent, and the game is a race of strategy and luck. While the original rules were lost to time, this version is designed for the most popular modern reconstructions.

How to Play (Simplified):

  • The Goal: Be the first to move your pieces from the snake's tail to its head and back again.
  • The Predators: Once your "human" pieces reach the head, they transform into lions (or lionesses) to hunt down your opponents' pieces on the way back out!

For full rules (although there are many variations!), check out the boardgamegeek site (https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/4148/mehen) or the YouTube video where I learned about this game (

).

Additional print profiles for my take on playing pieces, stick dice used, and a hexagonal box to carry it in.
