Bosch GTA 2600 Support Rail Replacement
Print Profile(1)

Description
I have a Bosch miter saw stand, the GTA 2600, at home. I mounted the mounting rails on my Metabo miter saw. The stand would actually be ideal for using my metal band saw on it as well, but 2 new mounting rails from Bosch as a spare part cost almost as much as a new stand
That's why I came up with a cheaper solution, which probably works on any miter saw stand ;-)
Required:
- 4x printed brackets
- 8 pieces of aluminum tube Ø8mm x Ø6mm, approx 30mm long
- 4 pieces of rubber cord Ø6mm (length as needed)
- 4 M6x40 screws
- 4 M6 lock nuts
- 8 M6x30 socket head screws
- 8 M6x12mm Rampa inserts
- a 15mm thick wooden board
I inserted the rubber cord about 20mm deep into the aluminum tube pieces and then flattened it with water pump pliers / a vise. This secures the rubber in the aluminum tube, and you can then easily drill a 6mm hole for the screw into the aluminum tube
The assembly of the brackets should be self-explanatory based on the pictures. As soon as I have my wooden board, I will upload a picture of the finished setup
Warning!
When mounted on the tube, the rubber has a good amount of tension (depending on the length chosen during assembly) and in my opinion holds perfectly
Nevertheless, one should make sure that the center of gravity of any machine mounted with it is located as much as possible over the tubes of the stand
