Finishing & Aesthetics (As Pictured)
The version shown in the photo was finished with a focus on depth and texture:
- Base Coat: Black acrylic primer (perfect for making the wing details pop).
- Top Coat: Greedy Gold by Army Painter, giving it a rich, antique metallic look.
Printing Tips
You don’t have to paint it to get a stunning result! This model looks phenomenal when printed with specialty filaments such as:
- Silk Gold / Copper: For a high-shine, metallic finish straight off the bed.
- Matte Black: For a sleek, modern, and "dark" look.
- Marble PLA: To give it the appearance of a classical stone carving.
Technical Details
- Material: Standard PLA is perfectly fine for this decorative piece.
- Assembly: The model is pre-cut into two parts to allow for a larger scale and easier printing on standard-sized build plates. Simply use a few drops of super glue (CA glue) to join the halves.
- Settings: All optimized print parameters (orientation, supports, and infill) are pre-configured in the included .3mf file.
