Description

This is an M2 Mac Mini Cyberdeck Case with an integrated monitor mount, a keyboard slot, and quick access to all ports for everyday use. The design uses a two-piece construction with a slot fit alignment system for easy assembly and disassembly.

The rear of the enclosure includes a 5x3 Gridfinity-compatible section for desk accessories and small storage attachments.

This project was mainly created for fun and works well as a secondary portable workstation alongside a MacBook setup. It is not meant to replace a laptop, but instead provides a compact and modular desktop-style setup that is easy to move around.

The mini keyboard storage slot allows the system to remain fully wireless and portable while keeping everything contained in a single enclosure.

The display and keyboard used for this build are both available on Amazon.

Printing notes:

  • Top half prints with manually painted supports
  • For the cleanest support removal, another support material interface is recommended.
  • The monitor overhang prints cleanly without supports on my X2D; this varies depending on printer and material choice.
  • Other components do not require supports
  • Designed and tested using Overture Super PLA+
  • Some sanding may still be needed depending on printer calibration and material choice
  • The uploaded files include several fit and tolerance improvements based on my original prototype print. The updated revision has not gone through a full final print verification yet, so minor adjustments may still be needed depending on printer calibration and filament choice. If you run into any issues or have suggestions for improvements, feel free to leave a comment, and I can continue refining the design.

Note:
The current print profile doesn't offer the magnet version since I found that design to be quite ineffective at holding the top frame on, but if someone needs that design, I can. upload it as well.

A keyboard-slot-free version is currently in progress for users who prefer using their own peripherals.
