Replacement Closure Clip for Allit Europlus Basic 47 Assortment Boxes
Small cause – big effect:
In many Allit Europlus Basic 47 assortment boxes, the original closure clip or the inner hook of the sliding rail breaks off over time.
As a result, the box often hardly functions reliably anymore – even though the rest of the assortment box is actually still perfectly fine.
This model was developed precisely for this purpose.
The replacement clip is simply glued onto the remaining outer part of the original slider and, despite the missing inner hook, again provides sufficient hold so that the lid remains securely closed.
Thus, the entire assortment box does not have to be replaced due to a small defect – practical and at the same time more sustainable.
The shape was deliberately kept simple and functional, so that the clip visually integrates well into the original design and is also stable enough for daily workshop use.
Printing Instructions
The model was printed in Bambu Lab PETG HF.
PETG is particularly well suited here because the material is sufficiently flexible, resistant, and durable.
The color can, of course, be freely adjusted.
With the chosen settings, a clean and at the same time fast print without high material consumption is achieved.
Used settings:
- Layer height: 0.24 mm
- Brim: recommended
- Print time: approx. 20 minutes
- Material consumption: approx. 4 g filament
The model was printed on a textured PEI plate.
Orientation
The clip should be printed in the already prepared orientation.
The small brim provides additional adhesion and prevents possible detachment during printing.
Installation
Preparation
- Lightly roughen the adhesive surface of the old slider in the area of the adhesive surface for the new clip with 120 grit sandpaper.
- Then clean the surface thoroughly with isopropanol.
Gluing
- Apply superglue to the prepared surface (superglue recommendation in the last picture).
- Place and align the new clip.
- Then fix with a clamp:
- Top side of the clamp on the new clip
- Bottom side against a table or workbench on which the box rests
- Only carefully tighten the clamp and allow the adhesive to cure completely.
Durability Recommendation
So that the original sliding mechanism runs more easily in the future and is less stressed, it is recommended to occasionally lightly lubricate the rail on the back at the guides with a PTFE lubricant spray (e.g., WD40 Specialist PTFE).
This makes the closure significantly easier to move and reduces the risk of another break.
Have fun with it – and perhaps this small printed part will save your next assortment box too. 🙂
