Description

This is a cabinet hinge repair support plate designed for a 170° Lazy Susan / bi-fold cabinet hinge.

This repair plate is for the part of the hinge that attaches to the inside of the cabinet.

If you're looking for the repair plate for the Door Side of the hinge, you can find that here:
https://makerworld.com/en/models/2786016-repair-plate-for-170deg-cabinet-hinge-door-side

I made this after the screws ripped out of our Lazy Susan cabinet door and couldn't find a 3D-printable repair plate online that would fit our particular hinge. The goal of this part is to reinforce the hinge mounting area and give the screws more material to bite into.

I designed this plate around this particular hinge from Home Depot:

Blum (2-Pack) CLIP Top Series 170° Spring-Closing Full Overlay Hinge for Frameless Bi-Fold Cabinet
Model # BP71T65523180
Store SKU # 1000508562

Recommended print settings:
- Wall Loops: 5
- Sparse infill density: 30%

If this support plate helped fix your Lazy Susan cabinet, a boost would be greatly appreciated. Boosts help support more practical repair models like this, especially small household fixes that are hard to find. Thank you!

I used four #8 × 5/8" flat-head square-drive wood screws from Home Depot to mount the repair plate. I recommend using similar fasteners from your local hardware store.

Installation notes:
- Test-fit the support plate before final installation.
- It is recommended to drill pilot holes first before installing the screws. This is especially recommended if the cabinet is made from MDF, particle board, or the original holes are already stripped.
- Make sure your screw length will not poke through the cabinet walls.
- Tighten fasteners by hand and do not overtighten.
- It is recommended to print this for all the hinges of the cabinet repaired, regardless if they need it or not, so that the cabinet door is balanced evenly across all hinges.

Disclaimer:

I am not responsible for any injury, damage, improper installation, cabinet damage, hinge failure, screw breakthrough, or other issues that may result from printing, installing, or using this part. Please verify and confirm your hinge style, fitment, screw length, cabinet material, and hinge compatibility before printing and installation.
