Description
A fully parametric nameplate generator built in OpenSCAD. Enter a name, pick your dimensions, and print. Great for schools, workshops, parties, or any event where people need to know who's who. No more scribbled paper cards that get crumpled, stained, or lost by the end of the day..


Comes in two mounting styles
Standing nameplate
Sits on a table or desk, no tools needed.
Pin card
Clips onto clothing with a standard safety pin, using a built-in hook on the back (hook_d: 5.5mm / hook_w: 5.5mm).
Dial in exactly what you need with the parametric options: width, height, thickness (default 1.4mm), and of course the name itself.
Print settings
No supports needed. PLA works fine. The default 1.4mm thickness keeps print times short so you can batch a full set quickly.
Parameters

| card_type | Switches between the two modes. fold produces a standing tent card, pin produces a wearable badge |
| show_name | Toggle the name on or off. Set to false for a blank plate you can write on by hand |
| name_text | The main name displayed on the plate |
| show_sub | Enables a subtitle line below the name |
| sub_text | The subtitle text, only shown when show_sub is true. Good for a class, team, or role |
| font_name | Font used for both name and subtitle. Accepts any font installed on your system in OpenSCAD format |
| name_size | Name text size in mm |
| sub_size | Subtitle text size in mm |
| text_depth | How deep the text is embossed into the plate, in mm |
| plate_width | Total width of the plate in mm |
| panel_height | For fold cards this is the height of each panel. For pin cards this is the total card height, in mm |
| thickness | Overall plate thickness in mm. Default 1.4mm keeps prints fast for batches |
| hinge_t | Thickness of the thin ridge at the fold point. Minimum 0.4mm recommended for FDM printing |
| hinge_w | Width of the taper zone on each side of the fold ridge in mm |
| border_enable | Adds an embossed border around the plate |
| border_inset | How far the border sits from the edge of the plate in mm |
| border_width | Thickness of the border line in mm |
| border_depth | How deep the border is embossed in mm |
| symbol | Embossed decorative symbol in each corner of the front face. Options: none / star / heart / circle / diamond / flower / arrow / cross / moon / leaf |
| symbol_size | Size of the corner symbol in mm |
| symbol_depth | How deep the symbol is embossed in mm |
