Description

Cotton pad microgreen kit 5cm square

This is a microgreen kit for 5cm x 5cm cotton pad size. I designed this for the original designer, but he doesn't allow remixes. Tried to add print profile, and checked that the points go to him/her, I don't know if it worked, but if it doesn't, I would like to share this version for those like me, who wasn't able to buy the circle cotton pad. The one available was this 5cm x 5cm cotton pad in the pharmacy.

Features

  • base  - pour the water here
  • tray - place 1 piece of 5cm x 5cm cotton pad here
  • cover - this is to cover the tray

Instructions

  1. Pour water in the base
  2. Place 1 piece of 5cm x 5cm cotton pad in the tray (the one with net holes)
  3. Place the tray in the base. Let the cotton pad absorb the water that you poured in the base.
  4. Pour your seeds. Preferably for microgreens: Alfalfa, broccoli, radish, malunggay, etc.
  5. Cover.

Note:

  • the base is where you pour water until where the stand is. Just enough to make the cotton pad moist enough for the seeds.
  • the tray is where the seeds grow
  • the cover has many uses:
    • prevents hastened water evaporation (but depending on your climate, if it's very hot in your area, preferably keep this indoors)
    • blocks the sun from the seeds, therefore the seed will grow rapidly, seeking for sunlight. (did a study on this, so that's why the growing seedling will have long stems)
