This project consists of a custom protective casing for Scame electrical sockets, designed with precise tolerances to ensure a stable and snug fit
The model was developed in CAD with particular attention to:
Internal housing calibrated to the real dimensions of the Scame socket
Structural thicknesses optimized for strength and durability
Fillets to reduce stress points and improve printability
Integrated fastening system that allows quick mounting without modifications to the original socket
Geometry designed for FDM: no supports needed, surfaces oriented for maximum quality
The casing offers additional protection against impacts and abrasions, improves the aesthetics of the installation, and allows complete customization through different materials and colors
Printing tips:
Recommended material: PLA for greater heat resistance
Layer height: 0.2 mm
Infill: 20–30%
Walls: 6–8 perimeters
