Boost Me (for free)
Every print, like, and boost brings me so much joy. Your support is where my creativity comes from.
This is a set of 3D printable parametric screw and nut assemblies, supporting full parameter customization. No need to modify the model; simply adjust parameters to fit different size requirements. It also includes fitting tolerances for 3D printing, ensuring smooth assembly directly after printing.
| Parameter Name | Unit | Default Value | Description & Adjustment Advice |
|---|---|---|---|
| Screw Diameter | mm | 20 | Nominal diameter of the screw cylinder, determines overall thickness |
| Thread Height | mm | 1 | Height of a single thread, affects thread engagement strength |
| Thread Pitch | mm | 4 | Axial distance between adjacent threads; larger pitch means faster rotational feed |
| Thread Angle | deg | 45 | Angle of the thread profile; 45° is a common and easy-to-form angle for 3D printing, recommended range 45-60 degrees |
| Nut Diameter | mm | 30 | Outer diameter of the nut, can be adjusted according to use case |
| Nut Height | mm | 10 | Total axial height of the nut |
| Nut Fillet | mm | 5 | Fillet radius of the nut's outer contour, optimizes appearance and scratch-resistant feel |
| Nut Chamfer | mm | 1 | Chamfer size of the nut's end face, optimizes appearance and scratch-resistant feel |
| Screw Length | mm | 50 | Total length of the screw, adjust as needed to fit different installation depths |
| Thread Top Width | mm | 1 | Width of the thread crest, recommended to set as a multiple of the print layer height |
| Tolerance | mm | 0.3 | Clearance tolerance reserved for thread fit, adapts to FDM printing errors, ensuring smooth and jam-free assembly |
💡 Usage Tips
- If the nut is too tight after printing, you can slightly increase the 'Tolerance' parameter (+0.1~0.2mm); if too loose, decrease the tolerance
- For threaded parts, it is recommended to print with a 0.15~0.2mm layer height to improve thread forming accuracy
- It is recommended to print the screw vertically along its axis to avoid layer lines affecting thread roundness
