For my four IBC containers in the garden, I have made several special lids to be able to connect my garden hose adapters or outlet taps with different pipe threads.

I have designed the following variants.

  1. Closed lid
  2. Lid with ¾ inch pipe thread
  3. Lid with ½ inch pipe thread
  4. Open lid for a large outlet adapter (this outlet adapter is specially designed with a fitting for a 32 HT pipe and can therefore be used flexibly).

For information: The thread on all IBC lids with coarse thread S60x6 (buttress thread) is not sealing.

For sealing, a separate sealing ring is required, usually 55mm outer diameter / 44mm inner diameter with a thickness of 3.7mm.

I have designed the corresponding seal receptacle into all lids. For the lid with the open variant for the outlet adapter, the sealing ring is simply inserted internally, and a sealing surface is created when pressed during screwing onto the IBC outlet tap.

Please note:

There are many different manufacturers of IBC containers and their bladders. The threads on the outlet taps are therefore often different. On my 4x 1000 liter containers, I noticed 2 different thread variants. I compensated for these differences by allowing a correspondingly larger play in the S60x6 thread. The function is fully given.

You can find a self-developed outlet tap that matches these lids; please check out my other 3D models for it.

Happy printing
