Description

Bring the hunt to your wall! This stunning Rathalos head trophy from Monster Hunter has been meticulously designed to capture every detail of the scales, teeth, and textures of the iconic monster.

The model is geometrically optimized and split into smart components to minimize post-processing and guarantee a flawless finish.

🛠️ File Details & Assembly

The model is divided into 3 independent parts to facilitate printing, optimize support usage, and allow easy color/material assignment in your slicer

:

  1. Head (Main piece)
  2. Tongue (Printed separately to avoid complex supports inside the mouth)
  3. Shield/Plaque (Base featuring the Monster Hunter logo)

Fitment Note: The parts are designed with standard tolerances (0.15mm - 0.2mm) for a smooth assembly after support removal. A drop of cyanoacrylate (superglue) is recommended for final bonding.

🖨️ Tested Print Settings (Bambu Lab P2S)

This model has been successfully printed and tested using the following parameters in PLA:

  • Nozzle: 0.4 mm
  • Layer Height: 0.16 mm (Optimal for preserving scale resolution without skyrocketing print time)
  • Infill: 5% – Grid type (Provides excellent internal structural support during high-acceleration prints)
  • Supports: Yes, Slim Tree supports.
    • Slicing Tip: Paint or place supports only on the less visible areas under the jaw and neck to keep the face completely clean.
  • Material used: PLA
