Gothic Cathedral Cutout Bookmark
A lightweight, single-color gothic cathedral-themed cutout bookmark designed for book lovers, architecture fans, history readers, gift baskets, reading corners, and quick 3D printed projects. This design features a tall cathedral facade with pointed arches, spires, a rose window, layered gothic tracery, and decorative architectural details, all built into one flat ornamental bookmark.
This is part of my growing cutout bookmark series, where each design keeps the same clean bookmark format while changing the theme, artwork, and visual story.
The goal with this model was to make something that feels elegant, detailed, and giftable while still being very easy to print. It uses only a small amount of filament, prints quickly, and works great as a quick single-color project. Printing several at once can reduce the average time per bookmark, making it a nice option for gifts, book clubs, classrooms, craft fairs, architecture gifts, history-themed bundles, teacher gifts, or reader-themed displays.

The bookmark is intentionally thin and flexible enough for normal book use while still having enough structure around the cutouts to keep the design sturdy. The openwork cathedral windows, arches, and tracery help reduce filament use while giving the bookmark a more decorative, premium look.
Color ideas
This design looks good in simple solid colors, but the cathedral and gothic architecture theme especially works well in:
- Black for a bold stained-glass silhouette look
- White for a clean architectural model look
- Red, gray, stone, or ivory for a classic cathedral-inspired feel
- Gold, bronze, copper, or silk filament for a more elegant giftable version
- Marble, stone, matte, or textured PLA for an old-world architectural style
The photos show a few example colors so you can choose between a clean everyday bookmark or a more display-worthy version.
Notes
The display stand shown in some photos is for presentation unless included separately in the uploaded files. The bookmark itself is designed to print flat and does not require assembly.
This design works well as an everyday bookmark, but it also fits nicely as a small gift for architecture lovers, history readers, teachers, students, church communities, book clubs, or anyone who enjoys gothic, medieval, or cathedral-inspired designs.
