Montessori Fraction Learning Set (with Storage Board)
Print Profile(1)

Description
This is a fraction learning tool designed based on Montessori educational philosophy, helping children understand the relationship between 'whole and part' through intuitive circular segmented pieces. The model includes 9 basic fractions (e.g., 1/2, 1/3, 1/4 ... 1/10) and comes with a dedicated storage board, fostering a good habit of returning items after use and saying goodbye to cluttered parts.
Design Philosophy
Traditional fraction teaching often relies on abstract symbols, while the Montessori method emphasizes sensory experience. This set of teaching aids allows children to physically assemble circular sectors of different sizes into a whole circle, establishing an intuitive comparison of fraction sizes, suitable for home, school, or math corner use.
Model Contents
· Fraction pieces: 9 fractions (optional range, e.g., 1/2, 1/3, 1/4, 1/5, 1/6, 1/7, 1/8, 1/9, 1/10). Each fraction is a separate disk, divided into equal sector pieces.
· Storage board: Features grooves corresponding to each fraction, allowing all fraction pieces to be neatly embedded for easy retrieval and counting.
How to Use
1. Take out all the sector pieces of one fraction and try to assemble them into a complete circle.
2. Compare the size of individual pieces from two different fractions (e.g., 1/2 and 1/4) to understand that 'the larger the denominator, the smaller each piece'.
3. Practice returning the fraction pieces to their corresponding positions, using the labels on the storage board, to reinforce memory.
Learning Objectives
· Recognize fraction names and symbols
· Understand the concept of equal parts
· Compare fraction sizes
· Develop a sense of order and fine motor skills
