Custom Honeycomb Name Sign

I designed this honeycomb structured model with the idea that it should be more than just a large first letter with a name on top, like many other models.

This model gives you full creative control over which letters or words should be big and which letters or words should stay small. Resize the front name, adjust the support bar and fine-tune the honeycomb pattern.

Customization Tips

Use Name_Text for the default full name or phrase.

Use Big_Text when you want to choose exactly what appears large in the background. Leave it empty to automatically use the first character of the name.

Use Front_Text when you want different text in the front. Leave it empty to use the full name.

Printing Tips

For best results, use a layer height of 0.16 mm or 0.2 mm.
If the front name is very large or uses letters that do not touch the base, adjust the support bar up or down using the support bar slider.
For a stronger front text connection, keep the support bar enabled. The support bar also provides you a clean flat bottom to put it on a table or desk.

Recommended Settings

• Layer height: 0.16–0.2 mm
• Infill: 10–15%
• Walls: 2
• Ironing for a clean look
• Brim: Optional for very large prints

Notes

Some names and fonts create floating letter parts. The adjustable support bar is included to keep the front text printable and attached. Use the fine-tune slider to move the bar slightly up or down depending on the name.
