Description

One design, both sides. The genuine Porsche vent cup holder retails for ~€39.50 PER side in the EU and up to $125 a set (MSRP $153.72) in the US —  and it's getting hard to find. This is my own original design, inspired by it, and it's reversible: mount it one way for the left vent, flip it for the right. Print just the side you need, or both from a single file.

  ✅ Fits Porsche 996 Carrera & Boxster 986, 1996–2001

✅ Reversible — works on LEFT or RIGHT vent depending on orientation

✅ My own original, reversible design — one file replaces BOTH OEM sides

     (cross-ref, fitment only: OEM 9865521830001C / 9865521840001C)

✅ Flexible TPU fins hold the drink snug and adapt to different can/cup sizes

✅ No-drill, no glue on the car — fully reversible mount

🔧 HOW IT MOUNTS (to the car)

Press-fits into the original vent: locating tabs clip into the holes on the sides of the air vent, plus a small tab into the hole on the lower part of the vent. Porsche designed the vent with these holes on purpose — this uses the exact same mounting points, so it sits like the OEM part. No drilling, no glue, fully reversible.

  🧩 ASSEMBLY

  - The two halves are joined with short pieces of filament pushed through the small hollow cylinders/pins on each side — they align and lock both halveS together.

  - Hinge / pivot axles: use pieces of 1.75 mm filament as the pins for the hinge / pivot points.

  - Tolerances: depending on your printer and settings you may need to slightly enlarge the join holes (a drill bit or reamer by hand works) so the filament pins slide in cleanly.

  - Optional: a drop of super glue keeps the two halves from opening over time.

  🖨️  PRINT SETTINGS

  - Body: ASA or ABS (I printed it in ABS-GF). Heat-resistant material is REQUIRED — a car interior in the sun gets hot enough to warp PLA/PETG.

⚠️  PETG is at your own risk — I have NOT tested it in PETG.

  - Flexible fins: TPU (TPU for AMS).

  - Enclosure recommended (ABS/ASA warp without one).

  - Layer height: 0.2 mm · Walls: 4 · Infill: 20–30%

  - Supports: not needed (print in mounting orientation).
