Description

The sifter is finally finished! Use this floating sifter on your next beach or river trip to easily find the best shells and shark teeth!

No AMS or glue is needed. The pieces print separately and fit together snugly. To assemble, fit the white rings onto the red pieces first, then attach the mesh afterwards. I have added three mesh sizes: ¼ inch, 3/8 inch, and ½ inch. These are interchangeable and can be swapped out with each use, depending on the size of shells/teeth you are looking for. I have found the easiest way to slide the mesh on is to hold the ring between your legs or have a friend hold it, and use your hand on either side of the mesh to rotate it into place. Due to the fit, it CAN be used without rotating in and will stay in with friction, but the slide feature was added to ensure it will not fall out.

This was so fun to make, and I printed many prototypes to make sure that the final version was the best fit, most sturdy, and easiest to assemble without a need for extra parts. The supports come off smoothly.

I am so happy with this design. If you print it, I would love to see pictures and the treasures you find with it!
