This tool helps align the laser beam with the centerline of glasses, bottles, tumblers, and other cylindrical objects mounted on a rotary attachment.
The tool attaches to the laser head and uses a V-shaped guide to quickly locate the centerline of the object. This provides a fast and repeatable setup method without measuring or estimating the center position each time.
Features
- Fast and repeatable alignment
- Works with different glass diameters
- Easy to print
- No supports required
- Compatible with most rotary attachments
- Reduces setup time before engraving
How It Works
The V-shaped guide automatically compensates for different cylinder diameters. As long as both sides of the guide touch the glass evenly, the laser beam is aligned with the centerline of the object.
Important
This tool is designed for centerline alignment only.
The laser focus height must still be adjusted separately according to the diameter of the glass and the requirements of your laser engraver.

- V_Alignment_Guide.stl – Centers the laser above cylindrical objects.
