Description

POPPY SOLAR STAKE LIGHT Design 1 & 2 (look at the difference in shadow produced)

Inspired by the beautiful seed head of the Poppy I created these stunning Garden Stake Lights.

The solar light is brought from Amazon UK.  Search for Solar Light Replacement Top 7cm (2.76inch) and you will find a choice.  A google search will give local purchasing options for you.

The stakes are Birch wood Dowel Rods 7mm and I buy them in packs of 30cm long from Amazon although you can buy a single length of Wooden Dowel 7mm from you local hardware store.

I printed quite a few of these now and they make super presents.  I've printed them all with PETG to withstand all weathers.

*PUSH THE STAKES INTO THE GROUND FIRST THEN ADD THE LIGHT*

One of the lights in the photos I used PLA and it has so far withstood full sun every day through a UK heatwave and torrential rain with no issues but it's only been outside for 4 weeks so I can't guarantee PLA is the right choice for your climate.  I have included a PLA profile for Bambu Handy users.

Always start with a cleaned plate.  When you choose your colour think of the translucency of your filament and I would suggest choosing lighter shades as opposed to darker ones.  Although it really depends what you are aiming for.  I hope you like them clustered together - they look like a Light Feature in the garden.

Please upload a picture of your finished light/s, it really helps inspire others :D Thank you
