Filament Swatches – Clean & Simple Color Samples

These filament swatches were inspired by the popular Bambu Lab color samples and are designed to help you quickly identify and compare the colors of the filaments you own.

Unlike the original design, these swatches do not include the mounting hole. I wanted a cleaner and more minimal look, since I don't need to clip them into cards or display boards. My goal was to store them inside a dedicated holder, making the hole unnecessary.

An additional advantage is that the swatches print faster and use slightly less material without the hole.

To keep track of the filament details, I simply attached a small DYMO label on the back of each swatch with the filament color code and information. This keeps the front side clean while still providing all the necessary details.

If, on the other hand, you have access to a laser, you can laser-mark each sample with the code.

I find these particularly useful for printing samples of every filament in my collection, so I always have a physical color reference available when choosing materials for a project.

The swatches are compatible with most standard holders and storage solutions designed for filament samples. I also plan to design and publish a dedicated holder specifically for this version in the future.
