Description

Qbic Light Box Set

Qbic Light Box Set is a build kit for assembling a compact light box for product photography.

The kit is based on the same construction logic used in Qbic — a modular shelving and cell-based construction system (not published yet) — and introduces several additional parts tailored specifically for building a photo light box.

The printed structure is complemented by sheets of thick paper, thin cardboard, or similar materials approximately 0.5–0.6 mm thick, which form the backdrop and side walls. Lighting is provided by the Bambu Lab Lamp Kit MH001.

The sheets can be arranged as shown in the images, creating either a two-sided setup or a more enclosed three-sided configuration by adding an additional side panel.

Standard sheet holders are included and should be sufficient for most materials. If the stiffness or surface properties of a particular material prevent secure positioning, alternative holders with a tightening screw is provided as an additional file. Print as many of these holders as needed.

Sheet dimensions

Back panel + floor sweep

  • Width: 341 mm*
  • Length: approximately 750 mm

Side panels

  • Height: 357 mm*
  • Width: approximately 365 mm

* Dimensions marked with an asterisk must be followed precisely. They are defined by the spacing between the holders and determine the fit of the sheets within the structure.

The assembled view shown in the slicer can be used as a visual assembly guide.

All printed parts are designed for a tight friction fit and can be assembled without glue. If joints feel loose for any reason, adhesive may be used. However, make sure all parts are correctly positioned before applying glue, as adjustments will not be possible afterwards.

All parts are sized to fit within the build volume of the Bambu Lab A1 mini.
