Boost Me (for free)
A sleek, minimalistic under-cabinet hook designed to be elegant but structurally strong. Originally designed to hang heavy glass water jugs, it features a very slim profile that blends seamlessly into any modern kitchen without looking bulky.
To achieve maximum strength despite its thin design, the hook is split into two parts. By printing both parts flat on the build plate, the layer lines are oriented perpendicularly to the weight direction, completely eliminating the risk of layer delamination common in one-piece printed hooks.
Hardware Required (BOM):
- 1x M4 Countersunk screw (Max length: 8 mm) - to assemble the two printed halves. The screw threads directly into the plastic.
- 2x 3 mm to 3.5 mm Countersunk wood screws (Length: 10 to 15 mm) - to mount the bracket under the cabinet.
Important Mounting Warning: Standard kitchen cabinets are often made of particleboard or MDF. Ensure your wood screws have a solid bite into the wood, and test the load capacity before hanging fragile glass items.
Print Settings:
- Material: PETG, tough PLA+, ABS, or ASA.
- Orientation: Print both parts flat on the build plate.
- Supports: No supports required.
- Walls/Perimeters: Crucial: Use at least 4-5 wall loops. Because the M4 screw threads directly into the printed part without a heat-set insert, dense walls are required to give the threads solid plastic to bite into.
