The prototype references ancient Yin Shang bronze patterns and ancient Nuo sacrificial mask designs, combining them with European half-face masquerade forms for re-creation, featuring embossed beast-face patterns. It replicates the weathered and eroded effect of thousand-year-old bronzeware, with a mottled gilt distressed finish on the surface and green patina texture to restore the natural corrosion texture of unearthed antique bronze, breaking the boundaries of traditional mask forms.
