Description

Reolink Argus Magicam Vinyl Siding Mount

Simple friction-fit mount for attaching a Reolink Argus Magicam to vinyl siding without drilling into the siding itself. The mount slides into the siding seam and holds in place using friction rather than a locking clip. Designed for lightweight duty and easy repositioning. It may also work with other lightweight security cameras.

Notes

  • Uses 2 standard M4x12 coarse-thread button head screws for mounting
  • #8 ½ inch screws will likely work as well
  • The screws included with the Magicam are too long and are not recommended
  • No supports or brim required
  • Standard 0.20 mm print profiles work fine

I printed mine in Bambu PETG HF, which is what the included profile is based on.

Recommended Materials

  • PETG
  • ASA
  • ABS

PLA may soften over time outdoors, especially in direct sunlight. That said, PLA will probably be fine if the mount is not exposed to prolonged direct sun. Material usage is minimal, so feel free to print it with whatever you already have on hand.

Suggested Print Tweaks

These are optional, but worked well for me and are included in the PETG 3MF:

  • Lower infill density to 10%
  • Rectilinear infill pattern

Disclaimer

Vinyl siding profiles vary, so fitment may differ slightly depending on your siding type. Verify the mount is secure before leaving the camera unattended outdoors. Double-sided tape or Command Strips could also be used for additional holding power, if desired.
