Lift-Off Can Opener (2 variants)
Print Profile(1)

Description
I designed this model for my daughter, who is a flight attendant. She has used several different basic can opener tools during in-flight service and has passed them out to her co-workers. I wanted to create something both functional and themed for the industry. Flight crews open large quantities of cans every single day, this tool provides them with an ergonomic way to keep their fingers and nails in perfect shape.
The fuselage and wings of the airplane act as a perfect handle, giving you excellent leverage to pop tabs effortlessly. The tail section features a precisely modeled horizontal slot designed to slide securely over standard aluminum can tabs. Compact enough to keep in a pocket, apron, or galley kit without adding bulk.
The supports attach at the back edge of the wings and may require minor sanding or filing to smooth out imperfections.
UPDATE
Version 2 (v2) has been released and features an upgraded plane body style for a more realistic profile and an added hole to fit on a split keychain ring.
Both versions are available to be printed from PLA Basic, PETG Basic, PETG-CF, and ABS-GF Filaments.
