Infinitely Expandable Detachable Modular Rectangular Planter / Suitable for Trailing Plants
Print Profile(2)

Description
This is a double-layered, detachable, rectangular planter with drainage holes and a drip tray.

This planter is suitable for trailing plants (such as Philodendron McDowell, etc.). The roots of these plants grow horizontally on the soil surface, but since planters are not infinitely long, I designed this one to be separable in the middle.

Besides being able to split the inner pot into two, this planter also has holes in the upper middle for roots to extend through. When the plant grows large, you can cut it in the middle, then replace its position with a new pot for the plant to continue growing. The benefit of this design is that you don't need to repot and replant every time, making it convenient and clean, and also easy to give divided plants to friends.
Printing Tips:
I used matte PETG, which has better weather resistance under prolonged sunlight and is also cheaper.
I added a Voronoi fuzzy skin texture to the outer shell and base to reduce layer lines and enhance the texture. If you don't like it, you can remove it, no problem at all.
Note, do not add fuzzy skin to the inner pot, as it may cause assembly difficulties.
The bottom of the outer pot has overhangs, so supports are needed. It is recommended to use tree supports for easier removal (already set in the print profile).
The planter in the photos is the 27cm length version, which is the maximum size the A1 can print. If you have a printer with a larger print size, such as the A2L or H series, you can also scale it according to your plants.
This is the first model I've uploaded. If it's helpful to you, please download and boost it. Happy printing!
