This is my design for a COSPLAY Masquerade civet/fox-inspired half-face mask.

The design draws inspiration from Venetian court carving aesthetics and Eastern civet/fox imagery. Classic scrollwork + feather relief recreate the original modeling, and three-dimensional pointed ears replicate the charming silhouette of a civet, integrating European retro patterns with the mysterious allure of civets and foxes. It's a perfect atmospheric prop for masquerade balls, traditional Chinese cosplay, and evening photo shoots.

  • Mask design: upright pointed cat ears, covers the face above the bridge of the nose, slender hollow eye holes;
  • Mask ornamentation: swirling scrollwork relief pattern in the center of the forehead, feather-like carvings on both sides of the brow bone, curling cloud patterns around the cheeks, three-dimensional raised patterns, with the delicate layer lines characteristic of the filament;
  • Mask material: the entire mask is printed with pearlescent milky white PLA Silk filament. The printing profile has been configured, slowing down to enhance the luster of the PLA Silk filament. 3mm lanyard holes are set on both sides of the mask, and the placement angle and supports have been manually set. I have adjusted them many times and recommend printing with manual supports according to my placement angle. The support surface is very easy to remove, and the surface will be flawless.
  • The finished product has a mother-of-pearl soft-light texture, with delicate layer lines hinting at handcrafted precision details. The eye area features a lightweight design with hollow triangular brackets, significantly reducing weight while ensuring structural stability. It's comfortable for long wear, with finely polished, burr-free edges, and a smooth, skin-friendly feel.
  • Regarding scale, the print size I tested was 100% scale, with a 100% width of about 15cm. You can adjust the scale according to your face size to achieve a suitable fit.

Versatile Usage Scenarios

  1. Party Evening Wear: Masquerade balls, European-themed banquets with formal attire. Silver / pearlescent white matches various outfits, instantly transforming you into an elegant and mysterious protagonist;
  2. Chinese Style Attire: Hanfu, Lolita accessories, new Chinese style photoshoot props. Cat/fox masks naturally exude a cool and captivating ambiance;
  3. Collectible Decor: The pearlescent white blank can be hand-painted and colored by yourself, DIY gilded or silvered. It serves as both a wearable accessory and an exquisite desktop craft.

Product Highlights

Original relief patterns: swirling scrollwork on the forehead + winged carvings on the brow sides, creating advanced three-dimensional light and shadow for stunning photos.

Lightweight structure: hollow eye socket design reduces the self-weight of the filament, with reserved strap attachment points for ribbons or elastic cords for free securing. ▫️The blank is highly malleable: the pearlescent white base is suitable for spray painting, gilding, and enamel coloring, meeting the secondary creation needs of craft enthusiasts.
