Description
I downloaded and printed G3D_LAB's AirPods Lamp model https://makerworld.com/it/models/2887747-airpods-lamp-modern-desk-light#profileId-3226084, which is truly fantastic. Not having LED strips, I used another type of LED that recharges with a USB-C cable, but aesthetically I didn't like seeing the LED circuits. So I created this model that allows inserting a “cover glass” into the black cylinder of G3D_lab's lamp. I created three “glass” models of 3 different thicknesses: 0.4, 0.6, and 0.8 mm. I recommend printing all three and choosing the one you like best. There is also a small Rim to print, which should be inserted first and glued into the cylinder. The chosen “glass” can then be placed on it. Very small grooves have been created on the “Glass” pieces and on the “Rim”. These are used to insert a small paperclip (shaped into a small hook) and pull the black cylinder out of the lamp, for any eventual lamp maintenance. Generally, the cylinder slides out easily, but everyone has different tolerances and it might come out with more difficulty. I thank G3D_lab again for their splendid lamp.
