ShowStage360 is a compact rotating display stage designed to showcase miniatures, collectibles and 3D printed models with professional-looking lighting effects.

The design combines a motorized turntable, illuminated truss towers and a programmable RGB LED arch to create a true stage-like presentation. Whether you're displaying a favorite print on your desk or recording photos and videos for social media, ShowStage360 helps your models stand out.

The lighting is based on a single Maker's Supply S-Shape LED Strip and can be fully customized using WS2812B-compatible effects. Static colors, smooth fades, dynamic animations and chasing effects can all be used to create different moods and presentations.

Optimized for smooth rotation

The rotating platform allows models to be viewed from every angle while remaining compact enough for everyday desktop use. During development I tested several approaches for the rotating platform, including fully printed bearing solutions. While these worked, they introduced more friction, produced more noise, and resulted in less consistent movement. To achieve smoother and quieter operation, the final design uses steel shafts and ball bearings in the drive system and turntable support. This significantly improves the overall feel of the platform and helps create the slow, stable rotation needed for displaying models and taking photos or videos.
