A1 Particle Damper Shock Absorber Buffer
Print Profile(1)

Description
A1 attaches two particle dampers to the outside of the machine body utilizing the relative motion of steel balls inside the dampers to absorb vibrations of the printer frame enabling smoother and more precise printing
The dampers were designed according to Gemini's recommendations
1. The particle mass should be 5% to 10% of the equivalent mass of the damped structure
2. Particle filling rate should be 80% to 85% of the cavity volume
3. The particles are best as steel balls or tungsten beads with particle diameter being 1/10 to 1/15 of the minimum cavity width
4. The cavity should be a rectangular pipe or cylinder extending along the X-axis
5. Rigid casing rigidly fixed

The final confirmed solution is (cylindrical cavity with diameter 22mm and height 40mm + 60g of 3mm 304 steel balls) x symmetrically installed on both sides
Requires M3*18 bolts

M3 nuts

3*7*0.5 washers

M3 spring washers

120g of 3mm 304 steel balls approximately 1100 pieces

When installing be sure to install spring washers

Do not arbitrarily change the type mass or diameter of the particles

After installation it is necessary to perform a vibration compensation calibration again
