Modular Beehive Nameplate – Magnetic & Screw Mount

A practical and customizable nameplate designed for beehives, apiaries and beekeeping-themed decorations.

The center insert is removable, so you can change the name, hive number or message without printing the entire frame again.

The project includes three separate build plates:

• Magnetic mount frame
• Screw mount frame
• Removable nameplate inserts

Mounting options

Magnetic version

The frame is designed for two round magnets measuring:

• 6 mm diameter
• 2 mm thickness

Check the polarity before installing the magnets. Depending on the fit, the magnets can be press-fitted or secured with a small amount of glue.

Screw-mounted version

The second frame can be attached directly to a wooden beehive, board or wall using small wood screws. (3x16)

Replaceable insert

The center nameplate can be removed and replaced at any time.

You can prepare different inserts for:

• Apiary names
• Hive numbers
• Beekeeper names
• Honey varieties
• Short custom messages

The printed insert can also be replaced with a 3 mm plywood insert featuring a laser-engraved name or graphic.

Recommended materials

• PETG – recommended for outdoor use and mounting on beehives
• PLA – suitable for indoor use, decorations and fridge magnets

For long-term outdoor use, a light-colored or UV-resistant PETG filament is recommended.

Printing information

• Designed to print flat
• Two-color version is suitable for AMS
• The frames and inserts are placed on separate build plates
• A 0.4 mm nozzle works well for this model
