This project completely reimagines the physical Pokémon TCG experience by transforming the traditional playmat into a fully 3D printable modular board game system. Every major gameplay area has been redesigned into durable physical components that keep your cards organized, protect your setup, and make matches feel more like a premium tabletop game.

Everything is completely free to download and print!

This project contains a complete modular Pokémon TCG board system featuring:

Deck Holder

A dedicated deck holder keeps your deck neatly stacked and prevents cards from sliding around during gameplay.

Unlike most deck holders, this one has a dual purpose design:

• Holds your deck during play
• Can be used as a portable deck box/storage solution
• Keeps cards aligned and protected
• Easily removable from the board when transporting your deck

This means you can bring your deck to a game, place it directly onto the board, and start playing immediately!

Prize Card Holder

A dedicated zone designed specifically for Prize Cards.

Features:

• Clearly defined card placement
• Easy access during gameplay
• Prevents accidental mixing with other cards

Trainer & Discard Zones

Organized spaces for:

• Trainer cards
• Discard pile
• Additional gameplay management

Everything remains visible and accessible throughout the match.

Custom 3D Damage Counters

The standard cardboard damage counters have been completely redesigned into durable 3D printable tokens.

Benefits:

• Easier to handle
• More satisfying to use
• Reusable forever
• Great for casual and competitive play

No more searching through cardboard punch-outs or damaged counters.

Modular Board Sections

The board is split into multiple printable sections, allowing:

• Easier printing on standard printers (A1-mini NOT supported!)
• Faster replacement of damaged pieces
• Custom color combinations
• (Future expansion possibilities)

Print only the pieces you need or print the entire system for the full experience!

✨ Why I Made This

I've always loved the Pokémon Trading Card Game, but traditional playmats often leave cards sliding around, damage counters getting lost, and gameplay areas becoming cluttered.

I wanted something that:

• Looks better
• Organizes the game
• Is easy to print
• Feels like a premium board game
• Remains faithful to the original Pokémon TCG

The result is this complete modular board system that transforms the way the game is played while keeping all official gameplay mechanics exactly the same.

Recommended Settings

• Layer Height: 0.20 mm
• Wall Count: 1-2
• Infill: 15–20%
• Supports: Not Required
• Brim: Optional
• Material: PLA Recommended

Color Suggestions

The model was designed with multi-color printing in mind.

Example combination:

• Red/white = Main board pieces
• White/red = Labels and accents

Of course, feel free to customize the colors to match your favorite Pokémon, deck type, or personal style.

🔧 Assembly

Assembly is simple:

1. Print all board sections.
2. (Print the deck holder.)
3. (Print the damage counters.)
4. Place the board sections together with the connectors.
5. Insert your deck holder.
6. Add cards and start playing.

No glue required for normal use.
